ABOUT
Holden Caulfield band are releasing their debut album Hopetown in September. Although it is their first real long-playing record, they are already well known indie-pop band from Prague (Czech Republic). It took the band a year to record whole album and they invited a lot of big names to help, such as Armin Effenberger who produced the single Save The World, Smity who produced remaining songs and mixed whole album, Michal Supak (ex-Charlie Straight), Frantisek Borik (Mandrage) and also Boris Carloff and Ema Brabcova to name a few. The band waited for so long for their debut album to deliver their fans the best piece of music possible. The succes of their single Save The World - released earlier this year - speaks for itself.
The album Hopetown consists of ten songs and continues in footsteps of Save The World, so you can expect a mixture of guitars and synths again. "The record was made during the past year in the studio of Boris Carloff, in a Smity's home studio and we also spend a few days in studio Rapotice, so in many places," say guys of Holden Caulfield. The band stated already when releasing the single, that they want to bring fresh pop-music to Czech Republic, which they miss here so much. "We are inspired by bands like Chvrches, The 1975, Foals and simillar to them. We are indeed a pop-music band but at the same time we try to make a different approach than the mainstream bands from Czech Republic," describes singer Martyn.
