The Complication are releasing their third album LIFE INSIDE and they are all about to grab your attention with it. The album follows its two-year-old predecessor Aspiring Child which helped the boys to establish a position on a local scene, the progress during the period, however, is more than considerable. While the previous recording had a vibe of a never-ending rock party, LIFE INSIDE operates on a more personal level. The musicians themselves call it a savior of the band because without this album, there would be no The Complication.
“The album is basically nine stories about four boys and one friendship,” explains the personal matter Michael Schnaubert, bass. “For us, the band has always been more like a family but when the family grows dysfunctional, it is just a matter of time when it all falls apart,” continues Schnaubert. In the end, it was an unrelenting stream of creative energy that helped the Compliboys to overcome the crisis and resulted in the new recording.
To record the album, The Complication went to Jámor studio in Prague to work on it with Ondřej Ježek who is known for his collaborations with bands like Zrní or Vypsaná fiXa. “We have decided for Ondra just for the fact that every album he has ever been working on appealed to us as a soulful, charismatic, and personal piece of art which was exactly what we had been looking for,” describes Radek Jeníček, guitar. During the recording process, the band put the emphasis mainly on the rawness and authenticity which suits perfectly the mood of the album.
