ABOUT
On their new album, „Šance“, the band IRISH DEW did not stay only „on the islands“, although there is the main source of their repertoire and musical atmosphere there. There are many special overlaps in the spirit of today´s trend of world music: in the recordings took part a wind-instruments quartet and a Vlachian singer František Segrado, and completely special was
Playing of Lamin Kouyat, a singer from Senegal, who plays an african instrument called cora. The result of this cooperation is a project that can be compared in the Czech Republic only to the work of Jiří Pavlica and his studio and podium fusions with musicians from all the world. Many famous musicians supported this idea by their taking part in the recordings: singers Robert Křesťan, Lenka Filipová or Zuzana Stivínová, and instrumentalists Luboš Malina (Druhá tráva), Jiří Veselý (ETC, Bratři Ebenové, Dobrohošť), Radek Klučka (ex Čechomor), African Wally Touré and many more. This CD can be without doubt called one of the most interesting musical projects of this year.
