Water rings
ABOUT
The Ensoi band consists of singer Tereza Kopecká and drummer Martin Čech who are known for their work in other music groups and collaboration on music projects of various genres.
The Ensoi project was born in 2019 in Brno. The joint work began to create compositions that gradually, without clear previous ideas or stylistic givenness, naturally resulted in a distinctive style
where the main creative source are feelings and reactions to specific experiences and life situations.
This creates an album of atmospherical-poetic moods in which the compositions form stories connected into an impressive whole moving on the field of electronic, downtempo, ambient and nu-jazz. It is a combination of acoustic instruments and electronics with surfaces of synth instruments, keyboards and sound effects with imaginative live drums and sensitive vocals.
The lyrics are in English and partly in Spanish which enhances the emotionality of the expression and the overall mood.
Martin Čech stands behind the drums/percussions, music composition and production and Tereza Kopecká behind the vocals, lyrics and musical motives.
The title of the album "Water rings" is similar to the spreading of waves as carriers of information transmitted, permeating various dimensions and returning back.
They can be perceived and worked with or overlooked but they cannot be avoided.
The very name of the band - Ensoi is a meaning of "existence" in it´s essence and refers to the creative process by which the compositions were created.
The album was mostly recorded and mixed in the background of the home studio and also in collaboration with Roman Kašník at studio Reset in Brno.
