Život v obrazech (A life in pictures) is a debut album of a hip-hop band Minuta Ticha originating from Karviná. The CD contains twenty compositions, one remix and three skits, over which the Havířov Dj Fukkel and the Dj Kika from Ostrava had a good frolic. The boys have a lot to say, the killing length of the album reaching 77 minutes speaks for itself. The sources have been arranged by three producers (Digaz, Paler-PL, Tomas), who use different styles such as jazz, trash, heavy metal, funky as well as the classical hip-hop beats. The band takes its own way, out of the trend, out of the mainstream not only with regard to instruments but also in their texts. The main theme suggested by the title already is “life” the search for the inner essence and oneself. On the other hand, some compositions such as “Illness” of “Circus” do not lack band’s “special” humor and any seriousness is out of question. Despite the fact the album is quite long you would have difficulties to find a boring moment. It is the atmosphere that is changed with every composition and after the end of the fifth song you do not know what to expect next. Important role is also played by the guests of the album (Lukáš and Adash from Pátek 13.tého, Šárka from Karviná, Matyasz from Havířov, an opera vocalist Uršula Wojkowská, Doktor – singer from L.A., Dj Fukkel and Dj Kika, Polish guests from the city of Dabrowa Gornicza – Paler, Packa, Nykla, Zaczo and Ziuta from the EXO band, Tao from Raport) invited by Minuta ticha. As they say: “We are not bringing anything new we just give a new face to old things.” This album is something new, it resembles their world in which borders play no role, it is hip-hop without rules, a world in which the game is not about who is better, but who is who.
