ZVA 12-28 Band

On the first two albums (*Hrubá múka* - 2005 and *Za fúzy ma poťahaj* - 2007), the core lineup of the band also included harmonica player Boris Čiampor (1966–2013 †). On the next two albums (*Z ruky zobať* - 2010 and *Šibenica frajerka* - 2015), violinist Stanislav Fakan was involved. Their presence in the studio and at live performances significantly shaped the sound and character of the band’s music, leaving a lasting impact on its overall expression. The participation of three top-notch musicians, who can be considered a generation younger, in the band’s latest project doesn’t alter its originality or vibrant expression. Instead, it further enhances its creativity and energy.

Saxophonist and arranger Ján Kopčák (https://www.jankopcak.com/) has an extensive background, including his own musical projects and collaboration with ZVA 12-28 BAND. He has also worked with artists such as Marián Čekovský, Ivan Tásler, Marek Szarvaš, Jozef Hollý Band, Peter Lipa...

Trumpeter Mychal Cálik is a sought-after performer in large ensembles, such as the Gustav Brom Big Band and the Matúš Jakabčic CZ-SK Big Band. He is also a key contributor to smaller music projects, including the Tibor Feledi Kairos Quintet and the Juraj Griglák & Company feat. Poogie Bell.

Trombonist Vladimír Trofimovič comes from a prominent Ukrainian musical family and currently performs as a member of the National Theatre Opera Orchestra in Košice. He enjoys participating in various jazz and big band projects, but the ZVA 12-28 BAND is his labor of love.
